“If you’re looking for the sweetest little old miner’s cottage with all the mod cons, then I can highly recommend Flamingo House. The location was perfect for us — close enough to the town centre and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Hunter’s finest wineries, restaurants and other attractions. The beds were super comfy and the linen hotel quality, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. The back deck was perfect for entertaining and relaxing, and the garden was huge — we particularly enjoyed the fresh mulberries from the tree, not to mention all the lovely fresh herbs. We also had great communication with our host, Mark!”

“We had a fabulous stay at Flamingo House Hunter Valley with my girlfriends. The house is perfect for a girls’ getaway, and our hosts Mark and Perry were wonderful. We loved the fully stocked kitchen, the comfy beds and the outdoor deck to hang out on — and my little dog was welcomed too, with the big yard giving him plenty of room to run around. We’ll definitely be back to stay again soon.”

“This is the most well-appointed holiday rental I can remember staying in. All of the typical pain points of an Airbnb have been accounted for — dog friendly with dog toys, bowls and beds; multiple sockets in the bedrooms; a fully set-up kitchen with everything in good condition; sharp knives; a bag of ice in the freezer so there’s no need to run to the shop; and water filters with chilled water in the fridge. Thanks for taking so much care to lay out this house.”

“Very homely. The house was great, the kitchen really well equipped and the bedrooms were beautiful with nice comfy beds. The back deck is the main attraction — we spent most of our time out there. Very central for travelling around the Hunter.”

“Flamingo House is spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Everything you could possibly want or need has been provided. The rear deck and yard was a lovely place to sit and eat and our dog enjoyed the peaceful surrounds. A great location close to the Hunter Valley wineries.”

“So hard to find good accommodation that takes fur babies and is this clean. The house was immaculate. It is cute and welcoming, with lovely quirky touches, Netflix, Stan, dog toys and an incredibly well appointed kitchen. A nice deck to watch kids and dogs play in the garden. Location is great, less than 15 minutes to Pokolbin wineries.”

“Awesome location as the title suggests — 7 minutes to the wineries. Communication with Mark was so easy, check-in and out super simple, and he even helped out with early and late checkout. “Upon arrival the smell from the white wisteria was a beautiful welcome to this warm and homely cottage. We spent two nights at Flamingo and just loved our time — sitting on the balcony sipping wine, looking out at the generous backyard and sharing stories. A very relaxing weekend.
