Yes. We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs (sorry, no cats). The backyard is fully fenced, and we provide dog bowls and toys. We ask that you keep dogs off the leather sofa (a throw blanket is provided), clean up after them in the yard, and use the vacuum provided for any dog hair inside.

No — there’s no separate pet fee at Flamingo House. Just the standard $195 cleaning and linen fee that applies to every booking.

Yes. A growing number of the region’s wineries, cafes and cellar doors welcome dogs, and Cessnock has two council-run off-leash areas — Hall Park and Manning Park — both a short drive from Flamingo House. See our guide to exploring the Hunter Valley with your dog for the details.

Many Hunter Valley cellar doors welcome dogs, either on an outdoor deck or throughout the whole cellar door, including several a short drive from Flamingo House. Policies vary by winery and can change, so it’s worth checking or booking ahead — see our dog-friendly wineries guide for a starting list.

Check-in is from 3pm to 11pm and check-out is by 11am. Self check-in instructions are sent before you arrive.

Cancel 14 or more days before arrival and you’ll be charged 50% of the stay. Cancellations within 14 days of arrival are charged the full booking amount. If you’re unable to travel due to government travel restrictions, we’ll reschedule your dates or offer a full refund.

Yes — a refundable $300 security bond, returned within 48 hours of departure, plus a $195 cleaning and linen fee per booking, which covers professional cleaning and hotel-standard linen.

Flamingo House has three queen bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to six guests.

No — Flamingo House doesn’t allow events or parties.
